On Friday, March 16, 2018 Paul Yoder will share about Park View Village, a virtual network of local members in Harrisonburg who leverage their numbers and knowledge to stay connected with their local community from an independent living stand point for as long as possible. The group plans outings, educational opportunities, tours, and a variety of other programs, along with newsletters, website, and other efforts.
“Villages are membership-driven, grass-roots organizations that coordinate access to affordable services including transportation, health and wellness programs, home repairs, social and educational activities, and other day-to-day needs, enabling individuals to remain connected to their community throughout the aging process.”
We will also have a member spotlight by Sheri Bender- Owner of Pulse HR Solutions. You will have a chance to win a prize donated by Sheena Armentrout, Director of Membership and Investments at Harrisonburg Rockingham of Commerce.
Join us from 9:00 – 10:30am at Bridgewater Church of the Brethren (420 College View Drive, Bridgewater). Please note the change in location during construction at Bridgewater Retirement Community. Visitors are welcome!
