On Friday, October 21, 2016, Robert Reedy Jr; a Vice President/Loan Officer with Farmers & Merchants Bank located in Timberville, VA, will discuss the power of music. He participates in a music group that has been providing a variety of music programs for many area nursing homes each month for the past 11 years. During this time he’s seen many “miracles” from these individuals, especially when they sing the older songs from the 30 & 40s. He’ll share a few tunes and talk about his experiences.
We will also have a spotlight this month by one of our members.
Our October contest is spooky and sweet. Make and decorate the best looking cake or cupcakes in a Halloween theme and and receive a prize donated by Dr. Judith Reifsteck, Psy.D., L.P.C. with Respecting Choices and Making Choices Virginia. Once the winner is chosen, we’ll enjoy the delicious baked goods!
Join us from 9:00-10:30am at VMRC (Virginia Mennonite Retirement Community) in the Detwiler Auditorium, 1501 Virginia Ave, Harrisonburg, Virginia. Visitors are welcome! Look for the signs and bring a guest!
