ClaimJockey is an independent insurance claim company that specializes in filing long-term care insurance claims. Their claims experts act as a bridge between the policyholder and the long-term care insurance company, working with the policyholder, his or her spouse, children, attorney, tax advisor and care provider. ClaimJockey’s goal is to help policyholders understand their policies, make informed decisions based on the benefits to which they are entitled and provide straightforward answers.

In addition to their claims experts, they have also prepared a guide to filing long-term insurance claims.
You can download it here: How to File a Successful Long Term Care Insurance Claim.

Care is There Geriatric Care Management is operated by a group of like-minded people whose goal is to provide quality care and access to the necessary resources. Every month, we’re shining the light on the people who make Care is There what it is – a group united by that common goal.

Our third installment our Team Spotlight features the beautiful and talented Jenny Ragsdale, a Lifestyle Coordinator with a passion for helping clients with communication, organization, independence, health and happiness.

How long have you been working at Care is There?

“I started at the beginning of 2013, so just two years.  It feels like more! In a good way.”

What do you do at Care is There?

“I am a Lifestyle Coordinator. Aside from backing up a couple of people, I have one client.”

What is the most satisfying thing about working at Care is There?

“I love the autonomy and flexibility. I feel completely supported by Elizabeth, Wendy and the Care Is There team, but I also feel like I make my own schedule and have the freedom to take care of my client as her needs arise.”

Read Jenny’s profile at The Care is There or meet the entire team on our “Team” page.

On Friday, March 20, 2015 Dr. David Glazer, of Nieder Chiropractic & Rehabilitation, will educate us in his presentation entitled “Preserving the Spine: A Fundamental Approach”.

Dr. David Glazer is a Chiropractor in Harrisonburg, VA. His background as a massage therapist and the incorporation of functional rehabilitation into his treatments has allowed him to help many patrons of The Valley.

It is no secret that spinal pain, in particularly of the lower back, affects more than 80% of the population. What seems to be a “secret” is how to prevent spinal pain and what we can do to preserve our spine as we age. We will explore predisposing factors to spinal pain and fundamentals of function, fitness, and food in our discussion of unraveling some “secrets”.

You can download Dr. Glazer’s Presentation here: Preserving The Spine

Join us from 9:00 – 10:30am at Sunnyside Retirement Community (The Highlands) 3935 Sunnyside Drive Harrisonburg, Virginia. Visitors are welcome – look for the signs! Bring a friend who may benefit from the roundtable!

The meeting will also feature a “member spotlight” presentation by Charity Shahan, Financial Representative, of Northwestern Mutual.

Download and print the meeting agenda here: Aging In Place Meeting Agenda March 2015.
